Composite Standing Rigging
At a recent meeting of the IRC Technical Committee, the subject of the rating cost of composite standing rigging was discussed.
The Committee noted that the technology of composite standing rigging has matured significantly in recent years to the extent that it is now becoming close to mainstream.

Sailmakers - in-house certification for Endorsement |

As you probably know, ISAF, the International Sailing Federation have developed In-House Certification (IHC) to permit equipment manufacturers to self certify their own products. This offers the advantages to manufacturers of providing a complete service to their customers in a manner accepted by certification authorities.
The RORC Rating Office, acting as the IRC Rule Authority for IRC in GBR, have now decided that with effect from 1st January 2011, sailmakers submitting sail data for an IRC Endorsed certificate for British owned boats will be required to be IHC certified.
