2010Refer to SBR Rule 4.1(see below) Currently the following designs have Recognised One Design status : 1720 Sportsboat, Hunter 707, J 80 & Melges 24 Owners of the above designs, which comply fully with SBR Rule 4.1.4 DO NOT NEED TO APPLY FOR A CERTIFICATE. RODs have a standard TCS issued each year which clubs may use. For the 2010 season these are:
SBR RULE 4.1: 4.1 Recognised One-Designs (RODs) 4.1.1 Boats of recognised one-design classes may be awarded a TCS by the RYA. 4.1.2 To obtain one-design recognition, a One-Design Class Association shall apply to the RYA. The criteria for recognition will include, but may not be restricted to the following: a) The affiliation of the Class Association to the RYA or the RORC. b) The existence of a set of one-design Class Rules satisfactory to both the RYA and the RORC. c) A satisfactory number of boats of the design having been built and class raced. The current criteria are available on request from the RYA. The RYA and the RORC may specify additional criteria at any time. 4.1.3 Lists of recognised one-design classes and their TCSs will be published from time to time by the RYA. 4.1.4 Any boat of a recognised one-design class may race under the SBR using its class TCS provided that: a) She holds and is in compliance with her valid one-design Class certificate as required by RRS 78.1. b) if Class Rules require it, she is raced by a member of her Class Association. |
