The RORC Rating Office has undertaken a paper-saving initiative for 2010, in consideration of the environment and to reduce the amount of unnecessary paperwork going through the office. Not only does this mean we will be storing a boat's history on the computer rather than in a paper file, but moving forward with technology we are changing our policy regarding sending out IRC certificates, in our role as GBR Rule Authority.
At present we still post out the first certificate of the year (but will be reviewing this for next year), along with the IRC mast sticker and a letter. However, all certificates are now produced including the header (rather than being printed onto headed paper), and official stamp. Therefore, as from 1st January 2010, we will e-mail Amended and Trial certificates but will not send a copy in the post unless we are specifically asked - there is a tick box at the top of the Excel amendment and trial forms to request this.
Please use the Excel Amendment and Trial application forms which can be downloaded from our website from the forms page, as this helps ensure you have supplied all the relevant information. Remember to include drawings or photographs where applicable, especially for keel, rudder or hull changes.
