IRC application fees are charged according to hull length (LH) and are shown in British Pounds (£) per metre LH. To calculate the fee for your boat simply multiply the LH in metres by the £ per metre shown below.
These fees apply for applications made through MyIRC. Other application/payment methods may incur 15% surcharge.
VAT will be added if it is paid by a UK company or business account (declare this when you submit the application).
Standard processing is 10-20 working days depending on workload. If you need your certificate within 5 working days, select Expedited processing; this will incur an additional fee (x2).
The fees shown apply from 1st Jan 2026 to 31st Dec 2026.
