SEPTEMBER 2026: We are pleased to launch our new application portal. Please read this Help Page before proceeding.

The new MyIRC application portal has been developed to provide an improved experience for boat owners and representatives, with inputs being more intuitive and requesting only information relevant to the applicant’s boat. This is a brand new system, so please bear with us and let us know if you experience any difficulties so that we can resolve them or further improve the system.

MyIRC is available for boats racing in the UK/GBR, and by specific arrangement with the Rating Office for larger, ‘worldwide’ boats.  If you predominantly race outside the UK/GBR please contact your local IRC Rule Authority.

Please visit the IRC website to read the current IRC rules and measurement advice before applying for your rating.

Revalidation:  IRC certificates are valid until 31st December each year so you will need to revalidate (renew) the certificate for the following year.   If your boat was last rated within the last 10 years you can revalidate through MyIRC; if the last certificate was older than 10 years ago please contact the Rating Office for advice.

Secondary (SEC) certificates: If your boat also holds a SEC certificate this has a separate certificate number. Add this certificate to your account as a separate ‘boat’ to see the options available to you.

Making changes at Revalidation: If you have new measurements or have made other changes to the boat please input these when revalidating online; if there is no specific question relevant to the change you are making please use the additional comments box at the end of the form.

UK/GBR based boats can use MyIRC to apply for the following:

New application
Annual revalidation
Amendment including change of ownership
Trial certificate
Secondary certificate
Single Event Rating
