An IRC rating allows different designs of boats to race fairly together. Standard production boats, classics, custom designs, sportboats and high tech racing yachts are all welcome.
Yachts racing under the Racing Rules of Sailing must hold an approved sail number. This sail number shall be displayed in accordance with RRS 77, Identification on Sails.
