Rob Taylor

Deputy Director

Rob joined the Rating Office team in July 2026 to support the delivery of technical and measurement services, strengthen engagement with stakeholders, and contribute to the continued development of IRC, YTC and the wider activities of the Rating Office. He will also represent RORC and IRC at major events, and support governance, compliance and safety standards for sailors, designers, industry partners and rule authorities worldwide.

A lifelong sailor, Rob has raced extensively in both inshore and offshore events as well as officiating at events all over the world as a World Sailing International Measurer. He enjoys being on the water whenever possible and much of his spare time is spent dinghy racing with his children and encouraging participation at his local sailing club.
