Ten IRC Championships are held all around the British coast from Scotland to the Channel Islands as well as a specific event for two-handed crews, providing a large variety of venues, racing conditions and social events to be enjoyed both on and off the water. While most events are held over a weekend, some are spread over several weeks or incorporate separate events.
We are pleased to announce a brand new website for the International Rating Certificate (IRC) rating rule with an updated appearance and clear, simplified navigation to access information for owners, sailors, measurers and race organisers.
Owned and administered by the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) in the UK and l’Union Nationale pour la Course au Large (UNCL) in France, IRC is used in over 40 countries worldwide for hundreds of inshore and offshore events, from club evening races to international offshore classics.
*NOTE* This RORC Rating website contains direct links to pages on the old IRC website; these links will no longer be relevant and will be updated as soon as possible. Please go directly to the new IRC website homepage and follow the simple navigation.
