Weighing & Measurement

Loadcells for Weighing Boats

The RORC Rating Office have several accurate loadcells ranging from 1 tonne up to 20 tonnes that are frequently independently calibrated by the manufacturer, and associated shackles that are regularly checked in accordance with lifting regulations. We also have access to hire higher weight loadcells. Our loadcells are commonly used for IRC measurement, and we also use these for class rule measurement and any other checks such as building quality inspections etc.

Measurement

In addition to our IRC measurement services we also undertake boat measurement as follows:

  • Measurement for other rating systems (e.g. UMS, ORC, ORR etc.)
  • Inclining experiments for stability evaluation
  • Class rule measurement (e.g. Class40, IMOCA etc.)
  • Sail measurement

Please contact us to talk through your requirements.
